They arrived! The Skins are amazing! I must admit I was a little nervous when I saw the size of them, but once I got them on they felt like another layer of skin. They even came in there own carrying cases. As soon as I got off the bus from work I ran into my house and put them on and ran back out the door to meet a running group in the Panhandle for a 7 mile run through Golden Gate Park. The skins felt nice to run in. It seemed as if my arms and legs were already warmed up. Also, I usually have problems with my circulation and I believe the Skins helped keep the blood flowing throughout my run.
Overall, I had a great first experience with them. I am very thankful that Skins allowed me to test them out as I have heard of the many benefits of compression products, but had not given them a chance until now.

The way Skins mold to the body really makes them feel like another layer of skin, kind of like another layer for climate control! Throughout the night I slept with the same amount of covers on as usual and I didn’t get hot wearing the long tights.
I started the day with a three hour ride and I used the skins long sleeve top as a base layer. It was a warm day and I was afraid of getting too hot because the top doesn’t have a zipper to allow wind to penetrate my core, but to my surprise I never got too hot and I never got too cold. Later that evening I had a second workout at the track with my team. I love the intensity of track workouts and for the first time at track practice I had actually forgot I completed my long run the day before. Plus, I was hitting the numbers I was shooting for.
All-in-all it was a good solid day.

Fridays are always my easy days. I did an 80 minute workout in the pool, mostly drills to improve my stroke. In the afternoon I went for an easy 2 hour spin on my bike in order to loosen up, recover, and prepare for my big ride Saturday. When I got home I put on both the Skins top and bottom and did some homework. Its an odd yet stimulating feeling hanging out at the house wearing just the Skins. It’s like being naked, without the same consequences when you’re caught!!!

Saturday I did a fast paced group ride with some teammates, it was about 60 miles with an added bonus hill at the end. The hill was a 3000+ foot climb up Mt. Diablo to the summit. By the time I got to the base of the climb my legs were already destroyed and the 60 minute climb was a true mental challenge. I wore the long sleeve top during the entire ride and it did a good job pulling away the sweat during the hard efforts and kept me comfortable on top of Diablo during the cold descent, even though there were spots of snow on the ground.
The ride ended my training cycle and I was truly spent. My recovery week commenced with a nap wearing the long tights.

Sunday I was expecting to feel very fatigued but my legs felt surprisingly well, however, I stayed off them most of the day anyway. The only workout I did was 4k in the pool. The Skins were washed and hung to dry.
